Overview

This is an E-rate discussion list for New York library and library system staffs who file E-rate applications, assist those who do, or who are considering applying. You may subscribe to the list if you identify with any of the above.

  3. Type the following command as the text of the message: subscribe ny-erate YourFullName

Information for Subscribers

Posting to the List

To post a message to NY-ERATE, address it to NY-ERATE@listserv.nysed.gov. Mail sent to this address is distributed to everyone who is subscribed.

Please use the list to post questions to your colleagues or to share ideas on how to help libraries make effective use of the program. The list is designed to allow participants to share their experience with and understanding of the federal E-rate program. However, information originating from the Schools and Libraries Division of USAC or the FCC should be considered as official procedure.

Updating Your Subscription

Subscribers can update their information at any time, including changes to names and email addresses. Often, mail will be forwarded from an old email account to a new one; however, subscribers will no longer be able to post to NY-ERATE without access to the original account. To update an e-mail address or the name Listserv associates with it, please contact the NY-ERATE list manager.

Messages sent to NY-ERATE are automatically archived. NY-ERATE subscribers can browse and search the list archives. Please note that you may be prompted to log in and create a password.
