Biographical Note:

Composer and musician Frank Morana was born in New York City in 1953, and currently lives in Amsterdam, New York, with his wife, Elizabeth. Morana holds degrees in both organ performance and composition from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London. Morana is a fellow at Trinity College, London; the Royal Canadian College of Organists; and the American Guild of Organists. He is an editor for the American Bach Society and for the Organ Historical Society. He has published more than 200 articles and reviews on organs and organ publications. Morana has been a frequent guest conductor and organist for solo, chamber, and orchestral performances at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

Scope and Content Note:

The collection contains about 50 written scores of music encompassing Morana's handwritten original compositions and original arrangements by Morana of other composers' works. Many of the written scores in this collection are matched with audio or video recordings that may be found in a variety of formats, including cassette tapes, compact discs, and one flash drive. The flash drive in this collection contains 552 audio files and 542 video files of Morana performing his music. The content of the flash drive has been copied onto a DVD for use, and there are copies of the compact disks in the collection for use as well.

A 2017 accretion added an additional bound playlist, compact discs, digital video discs (DVDs), and one flash drive.
