Number of Formerly Unserved New Yorkers Who Now Have a Local Public Library
2021 Goal: to serve 75,000 more previously unserved New Yorkers[1]
[1] There were 1,012,977 New Yorkers unserved by a local public library in July 2017. Population based on 2010 Census. The number of unserved may increase or decrease as libraries' service areas change through charter amendments, new libraries are added or as existing libraries are dissolved.
