Training Tool Kits
The Ready to Read at New York Libraries: Early Childhood Public Library Staff Development Program offers training in Five Foundation Components. Comprehensive Training Tool Kits for each component were developed by the State Library and nationally recognized early literacy experts, with input from the program's Training Cohort.
Each of the five kits contains a PowerPoint presentation and handbook, and can be easily customized to address individual state and regional early literacy needs and resources. The kits are free to download from the New York Library Association web site:
- Everyone Serves Families with Young Children
- Strengthening Young Families through Early Literacy Practices
- Early Literacy Community Asset Analysis
- Strategies for Successful Partnerships and Outreach to Families with Young Children
- Early Learning Spaces
