Throughout 2009, National Braille Press (NBP) is taking Louis on the road! NBP has produced a 20-panel traveling display, in print and braille, that takes a viewer through the highlights of Louis Braille's life, the braille production process, and why braille remains important today.

The Louis Braille Bicentennial Traveling Exhibit, which has been booked in cities across the country, was hosted by the New York State Talking Book & Braille Library in Albany from October 1-21, 2009:

  • 7th floor of the Research Library from October 1-9, and
  • 4th floor of the New York State Museum from October 10-21.
