Search Tips
- You can use
the booleans operators and, or, or not in searching.
Without these booleans, SWISH-E will assume you're using and.(The
operators are case sensitive -- use lowercase ONLY.)
- To truncate
a word, use an asterisk (*) at the end. Example: "water*"
would retrieve documents that have the words "waterfall",
"waterfront", "waters", etc.
- Do not use commas
or non-alphanumeric characters.
The search will
automatically include the document's Title, Subject, Notes
and Year of publication fields.
Examples:
- Educational
evaluation returns documents with "Educational" and
"evaluation" in one or more of the Title, Subject,
and/or Notes fields.
- 1996
returns documents with "1996" in one or more of the above
fields, or in the Year of publication field.
