Lincoln's Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation and Related Papers and Documents is a CD available for sale for $20 from the New York State Library.

This CD features images of Lincoln's handwritten draft of the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, from the collection of the New York State Library, as well as, a selection of related documents, images, and other materials that bring this remarkable period in America's history to life. Also included on the CD is "The Second Declaration of Independence: Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation," an essay by Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer.

Among the rare documents reproduced on the CD are:

Souvenir copy of the Emancipation Proclamation, one of the images available on the CD.
  • Original Version of the John Brown Song, by H.H. Brownell;
  • several souvenir printings of the Emancipation Proclamation; and
  • "Writing the Emancipation Proclamation," an etching by Adalbert Johann Volck depicting contemporary events from a pro-Confederate viewpoint.
