Capitol Fire Commemoration Events

In the early morning hours of March 29, 1911, a fire broke out in the New York State Capitol. The flames destroyed much of the New York State Library and its collections, as well as some of the collections of the State Museum.

A variety of exhibits and events scheduled for March and April of 2011 will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the fire.
