The Manuscripts and Special Collections Unit of the New York State Library invites you to take a virtual behind-the-scenes tour of the processing of a recently acquired collection. This is your chance to see how State Library staff process a collection of 38 cubic feet of photographs, prints, postcards and other ephemera so that researchers can use it.
The Manuscripts and Special Collections Unit will periodically update these pages until the finding aid to the collection is complete. At that time, an electronic version of the finding aid will be available through the New York State Library's website and the Fred B. Abele Transportation History Collection, 1905-1985 (SC 22662) will be ready for researchers.
