Loose-leaf services provide current information on high interest topics such as bankruptcy, family law, hazardous materials, labor, social security, and taxation.

Features of Loose-Leaf Services

Comprehensive coverage of a topic through the inclusion of statutes, court decisions, professional editorial commentary, proposed legislation, administrative regulations, agency decisions, executive orders, tables of cases, and comparative state laws.
Timeliness of information because the binder format permits quick insertion of new data and removal of superseded information. In addition, loose-leaf services often provide information that has not yet been officially published, such as court decisions.
News, and information on conferences.
Up-to-date references to articles, new books, and other sources.
Thorough indexing.

Location of Loose-Leaf Services

Loose-leaf services are shelved in several different locations in the Library. Search the on-line catalog for the location of the service you are interested in. Loose-leaf services in the reference section are arranged by Dewey Decimal number. Most other loose-leaf services are shelved by subject in the Law/Regional/Subject area. Some law texts are in loose-leaf format. Older tax loose-leafs are not on the 7th floor; obtain them by submitting a request slip at the Circulation Desk. Loose-leaf services do not circulate.
