Gateway, the National Library of Medicine's single interface that searches
multiple retrieval systems at once, including PubMed®, MedlinePlus®,
the NLM Catalog, the Directory of Health Organizations and others. Five new
toxicological collections were added to the Gateway in November: CCRIS: Chemical
Carcinogenesis Research Information System, DART: Developmental and Reproductive
Toxicology, GENE-TOX: Genetic Toxicology (Mutagenicity), IRIS: Integrated Risk
Information System, and ITER: International Toxicity Estimates for Risk.
Results of your search are displayed in three categories: Bibliographic,
such as journal citations and abstracts, and books; Consumer Health,
such as drug information, a medical encyclopedia, and current health news; and
Other Information Resources, which includes a hazardous substances
data bank, health services research projects, and information on genetic toxicology,
and chemical carcinogenesis.
