GovLoans.gov provides, in one Web site, Federal loan information from a number of Federal agencies and GovBenefits.gov, the official government benefits web site. The site has information about the federal loan programs that may be useful to:
Developed through a partnership between the Departments of Education, Veterans Affairs, Small Business Administration, Agriculture, Housing and Urban Development, and Labor/GovBenefits.gov, GovLoans includes useful loan tools and resources such as FAQs, loan comparison charts, glossary terms and links to lender locators.
GovLoans.gov was launched in April,
2004.

| June 2004: The Albany Plan of Union was created 250 years ago, in the summer of 1754, when delegates from seven of the thirteen British colonies, as well as representatives of the six Iroquois tribes, met in Albany, New York. A war among the British and French in North American seemed to be imminent, and the Albany Congress was held in an attempt to unite the British colonies and secure the support of the Iroquois tribes in a common defense against the French. | |
