Scheduled Interruption in Services:
Friday evening, July 31 through August 1 or 2
This announcement is posted to notify users, in advance, about an upcoming interruption in service for the Library's web site.
The NYS Library's Web site be unavailable for all or part of the coming weekend because the NY State Education Department (SED), our parent agency, is relocating its Computer Center.
All SED web sites and e-mail will be shut down at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31; service will be restored to each site as equipment is moved and re-installed throughout Saturday and Sunday. We do not know exactly when the Library web server will be moved during that time; however, all technology services should be restored by 6:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, at the latest.
Please note that the Library's online catalog, digital collections, and TBBL catalog should not be affected by this shutdown.
