E-Rate Training

E-rate Webinar December 19, 2012

The New York State Library and E-Rate Central will host an E-Rate webinar via an online Blackboard Collaborate session on Wednesday, December 19, 9:30-11.  Win Himsworth of E-Rate Central will be the presenter.

The workshop is free and is intended for library staff who are planning to actively pursue E-Rate discounts, those who want to find out more about the program, or those who are already receiving E-Rate discounts but might have questions. This program will benefit any library that wants to develop a better understanding of the benefits and process involved in obtaining E-Rate discounts.

The E-Rate program has changed substantially over the years. The application process is now less cumbersome and not all E-rate services eligible for reimbursement require filtering.  This information session will cover the most current information on the application process. Consider the place E-Rate may have with new developments in your library or library system – E-Rate may be a way to help fund sustainable library technology expansion and significantly increase broadband connectivity.
