Encourage children and teens to join the New York Statewide Summer Reading Program at their public library

The Statewide Summer Reading Program will help youth maintain and improve reading levels over the summer while they have fun with books, enjoy reading-related activities, use computers and access the Internet, create craft projects, and interact with their peers.

Studies show significant learning losses occur over the summer if children don't read, especially among those from lower income families.

Help the kids in your community sign-up at their
local public library, branch, or reading center.
