The New York State Library prepared these library aid charts in order to project estimated aid payments of 2005-06 State aid for libraries. Section 33 of Part L of Chapter 57 of the Laws of 2005 provides that each library aid recipient will be funded at the level they were funded in 2002-03. Accordingly, allocations for 2005-06 formula aid are equal to the amount of aid disbursed in 2002-03 with certain adjustments to reflect a change of service area resulting from charter amendments since 2002-03. Allocations for 2005-06 discretionary grant programs are equal to the aid amounts available for such programs in 2002-03. |
