2001-2002 Library Aid Charts
Estimated Figures Based on Education Law Budget
Revised June 4, 2001

The Division of Library Development, New York State Library, New York State Education Department prepared these library aid charts in order to project estimated aid payments of 2001-2002 State aid for libraries.

Library aid is allocated based on formulas in Education Law with the exception of the interinstitutional (county jail) program, which is an annual $175,000 appropriation. Some aid formulas include per capita or per student factors. As a result, the 2001-2002 estimated amount may vary from what would be anticipated base on last year's figure.

The amounts in these charts do not include the $2 million proposed by the Governor for The New York Public Library services to the City University of New York or $1 million for NYPL's Science, Industry and Business Library.
