Customer Service Training - Year 2 will continue the New York Public Library's initiative to equip staff
of the Branch Libraries with necessary interpersonal skills to effectively serve New York City's diverse populations,
including users of all ages, backgrounds, education and income levels. Since the project began in October 2002,
over 500 full-time and part-time public service staff at all levels have received training in customer service
skills. In this project, training will be extended to 540 additional librarians, information assistants, and clerical
