Western Sullivan Public Library - Tusten-Cochecton Branch (Sullivan Co.)
The Western Sullivan Public Library – Tusten-Cochecton Branch received $6,582 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the replacement of the boiler and the installation of a new hot water heater. The boiler, which regulated both heating and air-conditioning for the library, had failed. The new heating system efficiently maintains temperatures with in the library, while also providing hot water on demand, reducing the need to keep water heated continuously. These improvements increase the library’s energy efficiency, reduce the need for costly maintenance, and improve the overall library environment for staff and patrons.
