Woodward Memorial Library (Genesee Co.)
The Woodward Memorial Library received $4,890 from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program to renovate an unused space into a community room. Prior to renovation, the library had no separate room for programs or meetings. Library programs for adults and children were held in the children’s room, which would cause disruptions for library patrons who were attending the program and for patrons trying to use the resources in the children’s room. Creation of a community room has allowed the library to expand its programming and its access to groups who need meeting space.
