West Hurley Public Library (Ulster Co.)
The West Hurley Public Library received $11,543 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program to install new carpeting. New carpeting was part of the library’s larger construction project, which consisted of the construction of a new 1,704 sq. ft. addition and renovation of the existing building. Renovations included new electrical services, lighting, plumbing, and a new HVAC system. The construction of a new addition and the renovation of the building has made the library more energy efficient, increased staff efficiency, improved access for patrons with disabilities, and created a more user friendly environment.
