Wadsworth Library (Livingston Co.)

The Wadsworth Library received $19,864 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program to complete projects in lighting, windows, and doors.  Existing light fixtures were replaced with new lighting that will provide more light for reading and selecting titles.  Also, the new lights will be more energy efficient and the bulbs will last longer than the old ones, reducing total lighting costs.  Window treatments were added on the south side of the building to keep the building at a more consistent temperature and reduce glare.  Previously, the windows on the south end would let in more heat and cold than the rest, making the library temperature inconsistent.  Also, computer screens will be easier to read.  For the doors, ADA compliant automatic door openers were installed to allow those who need assistance to easily open the doors.  These three projects improve the overall quality of the building and will make a more comfortable environment for all.
