Utica Public Library (Oneida County)
The Utica Public Library received $100,000 from the $14 Million Public Library Grant Program to upgrade the heating and cooling system. The old system did not adequately heat the building in the winter and had no air conditioning or ventilation for the summer months. The project includes installing a new boiler, adding central air conditioning, and completing related duct, pipe, and electrical work. With the new system, the library will be kept more comfortable for patrons and staff and safer for materials and equipment. Additionally, heating costs should decrease.
