Solvay Public Library (Onondaga Co.)

The Solvay Public Library received $2,620 from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program to install new lighting and window shades to improve energy efficiency of the library.  Previously, the lighting in the Community Room was from 1979 and generated a lot of heat.  New, energy efficient lighting will match the rest of the lighting in the building and will reduce energy bills.  Also, window shades will prevent heat loss and keep the room cooler in the summer.  These two projects will improve the appearance and energy efficiency of the building.
