Solvay Public Library (Onondaga Co.)
The Solvay Public Library received $75,935 from the $14 Million Public Library Grant Program to complete site and electrical work for an accessible addition to the library building. This addition will provide an elevator and new entrances to make the building fully accessible. Additionally, it will provide new reading areas, a meeting room, an expanded children’s area, a new circulation area, new restrooms, a computer lab, a local history area, and staff rooms. This will increase the size of the building and will enable the library to better serve patrons. The former oak paneled reading rooms will remain the same, with more space now available for programming and patron needs.
