Savona Free Library (Steuben Co.)
The Savona Free Library received funds from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program to build a ramp within the library to access the bathroom, which is in the main building (the Savona Village Municipal Building). The project involved removing bookshelves, building a ramp and two landings, raising the door, moving two steps, replacing the bookshelves, building a half wall and installing railings. Construction of a ramp has created handicapped access to the bathroom in the main building and has allowed the Savona Free library to meet ADA requirements.
