Saratoga Springs Public Library (Saratoga Co.)
The Saratoga Springs Public Library received $73,750 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for installation of an emergency power generator. A number of the library’s patrons and staff suffer from limited mobility, many of whom rely on walkers and wheelchairs. This introduced a need for an emergency generator in order to ensure a safe and reliable evacuation via elevators and automatic doors, in the case of an electrical outage. A generator also guarantees that security systems, refrigeration and heating systems all remain functional during a power outage.
