Greater Poughkeepsie Library District; Adriance Memorial Library (Dutchess Co.)
The Greater Poughkeepsie Library District received $77,500 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the renovation of the interior plaster and asbestos abatement at the Adriance Memorial Library. The library is planning a major renovation of the entire building, including the addition of a 4-floor extension to expand the space available for collections and community activities. The improvements undertaken during this phase of the expansion allow the library to continue safely and efficiently with the overall project while preserving many significant features of the historic library building.
