Plattsburgh Public Library (Clinton Co.)
The Plattsburgh Public Library received $7,154 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the replacement of an A/C condenser and structural repair to the front steps. In the beginning of 2007, many of the library’s front steps began to crumble creating a hazardous situation for patrons and staff entering and exiting the building. The previous condenser for the A/C unit failed in the summer of 2007, and needed to be replaced. The new A/C condenser and newly reconstructed steps allow visitors to the library and the library’s staff to enter and exit the building safely and enjoy a comfortable environment while accessing the library’s collections.
