Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library (Nassau Co.)

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library received $4,999 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the replacement of lighting fixtures and ceiling over the circulation area. Previously, 20-year-old fixtures over the circulation desk produced a dim yellow light, which was inadequate for the heavily used area. The new fixtures that were installed along with a new ceiling grid produce a much brighter light, improving visibility and the overall atmosphere of the circulation area.
