Peninsula Public Library (Lawrence, Nassau County)

The Peninsula Public Library received $3,160 from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program to install automatic doors. The project includes installing automatic doors with an opener button. Additionally, the concrete walkway needed to be replaced because it has settled and was no longer flush with the doorway. With the completion of this project, the library will be more accessible to those in wheelchairs or with strollers.
