Patchogue-Medford Library (Suffolk Co.)
The Patchogue-Medford Library received $50,000 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the replacement of the heating system. The previous heating system was over 50 years old and had become far too unreliable and costly to maintain. The new system is more efficient and the digital controls allow staff to monitor heat dispersion at any time, which will save the library high energy and maintenance costs. Additionally, the new system occupies less space, providing more room for general storage and a safer work environment for staff.
