New Hartford Public Library (Oneida County)
The New Hartford Public Library received $46,953 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program to build a two-story, 8,800 square foot addition to the existing library. This improvement increases the size of their Community, Children’s and Teen’s Rooms and makes the library more comfortable with a new a café area for patrons. The larger library will be able to accommodate more events and programs, gives teens a separate space, provides better study rooms, and increases staff workspace and efficiency. Additionally, a new entrance and handicapped parking spaces will allow users easier access to the building.
