Mount Kisco Public Library (Westchester County)

The Mount Kisco Public Library received $95,000 from the $14 Million Public Library Grant Program to fund the demolition of the library to prepare for a new building.  Along with the demolition of the building, hazardous materials will be removed.  The new building will be energy efficient and will provide accessible spaces to library patrons of all ages.  Improved space for children, new reading room furnishings, a new teen room, and increased space for Spanish materials and job seekers will all be included in the new library.  The new building, in addition to being efficient and accessible, will allow the library to serve as a center for the community.
