Massapequa Public Library (Nassau County)
The Massapequa Public Library received $63,732 from the $14 Million Public Library Grant Program to replace the roof on the Central Avenue building. The old roof was leaking and destroyed some library materials. Library staff frequently had to move materials to prevent damage and clean up when leaks appeared. With a new roof, library materials will no longer be in danger and staff will not have to constantly look after leaks.
