The Morton Memorial Library received $6,000 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the construction of an accessible bathroom on the second floor. Previously, handicapped patrons would have to exit the library and enter the lower level of the building in order to use a handicapped accessible restroom. This caused many patrons to be reluctant to use the library. With the installation of a new handicapped accessible restroom, all members of the community can comfortably benefit from library programs and services.
