Moore Memorial Library (Chenango Co.)
The Moore Memorial Library received $11,709 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the paving of an existing lot and the installation of new light fixtures in the lot. Previously, the library had one small paved lot and a larger dirt lot to accommodate parking. The dirt lot would become hazardous in the winter, when portions would freeze over, or when it rained, as water would collect in large puddles. The library is now able to offer visitors paved parking, including a new handicapped space and walkways leading from the lot to the entrance. Additionally, new lighting fixtures were installed in the lot to improve visibility and security during evening hours.
