Lisle Free Library (Broome Co.)

The Lisle Free Library received $38,036 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the addition of approximately 4000 square feet of parking space. This project included the expansion and reconstruction of the existing parking lot and sidewalk, as well as the installation of exterior lighting and drainage facilities. Prior to construction, the parking lot was insufficient to accommodate patrons during peak hours at the library. In order to park near the front entrance of the library during these hours, patrons had to either obstruct the parking lot driveway or rely upon parking available at a neighboring facility. The new parking lot and parking plan will reduce traffic congestion, improve neighborhood relations and make reasonable access to the library building available for all.
