Kingston Library (Ulster Co.)
The Kingston Library received $24,219 from the $14 million Public Library Construction Grant Program to install new windows and window frames. Prior to installation there was evidence of severe deterioration of the outside windows that included the rotting of the wooden frames, missing sealant at the window frames, loss off energy protection in many of the glass windows, and gaps in the window frames permitting drafts to enter the building. The new windows help to maintain the original design aesthetic of the library, reduce routine maintenance, improve energy efficiency, and enhance the quality of the library and the comfort of those community members using the facility.
