Town of Johnsburg Library (Warren County)
The Town of Johnsburg Library received $16,637 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program to improve lighting and cooling in the library building. The florescent lighting that was located throughout the library was inefficient and not adequate for library users. The florescent lights in the main circulation area would flicker and did not turn on properly, and the lighting in the stacks was not bright enough for reading. New lighting will be more efficient and brighter, creating a better atmosphere in the library. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning created uncomfortable conditions in the summer and affected computer use. Air conditioning and ceiling fans will cool the library and allow for better use in the summer months.
