Haverstraw King's Daughters Public Library (Rockland Co.)
The Haverstraw King’s Daughters Public Library received funds from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program to replace its two sets of exterior front steps, the handrails, and the concrete walkway between the steps leading up to the library’s entrance. Prior to replacement, the steps and railings were deteriorating and uneven, causing several patron complaints. The new steps, railings, and walkway provide better and safer access to services at the library by all users, including those with physical disabilities.
