Groton Public Library (Tompkins Co.)

The Groton Public Library received $5,954 from the $800,000 Public Library Grant Program to update the heating and outdoor lighting systems. The previous steam heat system was noisy and prone to leaks, making a new electric heat system more efficient and cost-effective. Radiators were replaced with blowers and new electrical wiring was installed. Outside the library, two new lampposts were installed to provide effective lighting and aesthetic value. An indoor timer and switches completed the project.
