Grafton Community Library (Rensselaer Co.)
The Grafton Community Library received $3,794 from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program to pave the gravel parking area in front of the building. The loose gravel area caused problematic erosion around the edge of the lot and damage to vehicles. Additionally, the poor condition of the lot created hazardous situations for patrons and severely limited access to patrons with disabilities. The newly repaved parking lot has eliminated these potential hazards and greatly improved accessibility for patrons with disabilities, allowing the library to better welcome and serve their community.
