Guilderland Public Library (Albany Co.)
The Guilderland Public Library received $24,447 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the remediation of the existing skylight by re-glazing. The skylight was oriented incorrectly during the original construction of the building. As a result, it has been covered by a canvas tarp to mitigate the excess heat and light. The new glazing reduces the potency of direct sunlight, and allows the library to take advantage of the increased natural light it provides.
