George F. Johnson Memorial Library (Broome Co.)

The George F. Johnson Memorial Library received $8,875 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program to install automatic door openers and a new HVAC. Automatic door openers on the sole front entrance to the library will enable patrons to push a button to enter or exit the library, allowing those with accessibility issues to more easily use the library. The installation of an HVAC in the 2nd floor meeting room of the library allows the room to have climate control independent of the rest of the library building, increasing energy efficiency and enabling the library to use the space more effectively.
