Finkelstein Memorial Library (Rockland Co.)

The Finkelstein Memorial Library received $45,768 from the $14 million Public Library Construction Grant Program to transform an empty 0.107 acre lot into a 26-spot parking area. This construction project consisted of removal of concrete curb and parapet wall, installation of fill, sub-base and asphalt pavement courses, installation of asphalt berm, construction of a geogrid reinforced modular block retaining wall, installation of site lighting poles and fixtures, modification of existing drainage structures, installation of underdrain, pavement stripping, topsoiling and seeding as needed. With an additional 26 parking spaces, patrons now have easier access to the library and the vital programs that it provides.
