Fairview Public Library (Delaware Co.)

The Fairview Public Library received $2,499 from the $800,000 Public Library Construction Grant Program to renovate entrance and exit areas. The front entrance steps were previously covered in carpeting, which grew slippery in the winter and led to rotting wood. With new steps and handrails, the main entrance to the building will be safer. The back entrance steps were also renovated, with a rotting porch removed and replaced with weather-proof materials. Finally, the conference/reference room emergency exit was removed and replaced, and matches the other entrance areas. With these improvements, the entrances and exits will be safer and more visually appealing.
