Dormann Library (Steuben Co.)

The Dormann Library received $96,760 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program for the relocation of utilities, including water and plumbing lines, and the expansion of the library’s parking lot.  The construction involving the relocation of utilities allows the library to accommodate new high-speed communication and internet lines.  The library has expanded the parking lot to allow for overflow parking previously unavailable to patrons, and provide new handicap parking in the original lot. Additionally, the library was assisted by a group of BOCES students who helped to erect the partitions around the new foundation. This expansion of services, as well as the involvement of the community in the project, allows the library to better serve the community.
