Broome County Public Library (Broome Co.)
The Broome County Public Library received $19,605 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Program for the expansion of the parking lot and the installation of one light pole, including necessary electrical work to connect it. The Library has experienced a significant increase in demand for and use of library services, particularly meeting rooms. When added to the number of regular visits to the library, the number of patrons parking cars to visit the library filled the parking lot. Through this construction project, the library was able to expand the capacity by 15-20 spaces, and install adequate lighting for evening hours. Now patrons are no longer deterred from attending library events due to lack of parking.
