Boston Free Library (Erie Co.)

The Boston Free Library received $6,910 from the $14 Million Public Library Construction Grant Program to replace the roof and add an automatic door opener.  The old roof was in need of repair and often leaked.  The new roof will have ice shields and protect the library from dripping and leaks.  With an automatic door opener, patrons and staff will have an easier time accessing the library.  Those unable to open the doors, those with strollers or wheelchairs, or patrons with lots of materials will now be able to open the doors with the push of a button.  With these improvements, the library will be a safer, more accessible place.
